Stranger Things + Roblox | Metaverse Experience

First ever digital watch party on Roblox.

After seeing the success of our branded experiences on Roblox, Netflix reached out looking to do something special for the fans on “Stranger Things Day” - a fan-created holiday. 

With a minimal amount of lead up time, a very enthusiastic fan base, and the potential to create a whole new legion of fans we pitched the idea of having a world-wide interactive watch party. 

Not only did attendees watch the first episode in its entirety, they got to do so in a digital version of Hawkins, complete with key locations. The episode was enhanced with lighting changes, characters, effects, and activities to do during the screening. 

The response was HUGE. Thousands of players “lined up” for the first screening. Viewing numbers were so high and the response so enthusiastic that Netflix decided to extend the run by a week.
